Bonny Cai [蔡颖] is a designer and researcher exploring ways in which clothing promotes play, fosters empathy, and creates a sense of home.

She has a BA in Economics from Brown University and a BFA in Apparel from the Rhode Island School of Design. She also received a 2019-2020 Fulbright Fellowship to research hanbok [한복] in Seoul, South Korea.

Her work combines studying traditional garment engineering, experimenting with innovative materials, as well as collecting precious narratives. She is passionate about sharing histories and culture through a contemporary design spirit that pays homage to our earth and can reach people's hearts.
